I must say no car company has captured my imagination like the Tesla. As the brainchild of Elon Musk, who many consider “the next Steve Jobs,” Tesla has taken the automotive world by storm with it’s ultra popular, super safe and eco-friendly Model S electric car. Electric as in it uses NO gas. Yet it still goes 280 miles on one charge.
While the operational cost is very minimal compared to a normal car, the main downside to the Tesla is the upfront cost. They range from about $70,000 to $120,000, so not everyone can get one. However, Tesla’s ultimate goal is to produce an economical version that the middle class can afford in a couple years. Tesla has been building out what it calls SuperChargers. These are charging stations that can give you an 80% charge in just 30 minutes. Even better they are 100% FREE. The SuperChargers are already spread across the country such that you can go coast to coast without spending a dollar on electricity! For shorter trips like Phoenix to Flagstaff for example, you can drive up to Flagstaff, fill up for free and still have 150 miles of charge to spare when you get home!
The Flagstaff Arizona Tesla SuperCharger Station
Here is the link to the Tesla SuperCharger in Flagstaff AZ located at 2650 South Beulah Blvd Flagstaff, AZ 86001 which is 6 miles from the Flagstaff Rental Cabin.
I would love to give Tesla owners that rent the Flagstaff Rental Cabin a discount or free night.
However, since
A) You can afford a Tesla and I can’t, and
B) the trip is FREE courtesy of the SuperCharger, I won’t be offering a discount 🙂
I would love to host Tesla owners though and would like to hear how I can make the Cabin more “Tesla friendly”. Wait a minute… I already made it Tesla friendly: I have a HEATED ELECTRIC Driveway to melt the snow in the wintertime and a Garage to keep your beauty dry and warm. What else can I do for you?
Any votes to put in solar panels from SolarCity? Most Tesla owners know that SolarCity is also anther company run by Elon Musk. Oh and by the way, his other one? Space X. Yea, just a little operation bringing commercial space travel to the masses. Actually, compared to what Elon might end up pulling off, Steve Jobs was a bum.
