December Events in Flagstaff – Things To Do!
Arizona Snowbowl is OPEN
Snowboarding, Skiing, or just playing in the snow! Come on up and experience a great day in the snow. Yes, if you live in the valley, it’s hard to believe that in a short two hour drive up north to Flagstaff, you can be smack in the middle of some great snow conditions. Come up and shred those slopes!
The North Pole Experience
A magical experience for your little kids…and maybe even you too. Come on, don’t be a Grinch! See Santa’s workshop including the Toy Hall of Fame, the Toy Factory, Elf University, Santa’s Bakery and even a secret hanger that houses Santa’s sleigh!
The Deer Hunter
December 3, 2013 See this 1978 Classic that won 5 Oscars. Starring Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep and Christopher Walken. FREE admission on the campus of Northern Arizona University. Probably not the best movie to bring the kids to however!
First Friday Artwalk
December 6, 2013 Join Flagstaff’s monthly street party in Historic Downtown Flagstaff. Art galleries, businesses, restaurants and bars all join in on the fun. This can be as tame and cultured or wild & crazy of an experience as you want to make it. What are you going to do?
The Nutcracker Ballet
December 6 & 7th. This event combines the NAU Community Music & Dance Ballet with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. Even though Flagstaff is a small town, they do have a decent amount of cultural events. Take advantage of them for a unique night out.
Riordan Mansion Holiday Tours
December 1 – 30, 2013 Get your guided tour of this turn of the century mansion adorned with Christmas decorations and holiday style. The video below reveals the history of the mansion and early Flagstaff. Pretty neat history of this adventurous town.
Polar Express
The kids (and their parents) will love this train ride to see Santa on the Grand Canyon Railway. Start a family tradition with this fun train ride. Be sure and bring your camera to capture the memories!
